Every fortnight at Nell Gwynn we get together as a whole school and enjoy a music session. The children are able to sing and learn new songs together, hear the sounds different instruments make and even meet some professional musicians! Over the last year we’ve been very lucky to meet an accordion player, a drummer, a saxophonist and we’ve even played the washboard! This week’s instrument made a very strange noise and was called a Theremin. Some of the children were able to come up and play it by putting their hands close to the two aerials. The sound it made had us all rolling around laughing. It was a lot of fun.
